looking for help with translating new EP’s

ok some ppl think we’ve given up and stop subbing this show.

i have wanted to sub this show for years and i’m not going to give up of that you can be sure.

but i’m of little help or use until theres a text doc in English on my pc:P

my Translators are great at what they do and i’m very happy with and proud of them for there selfless hard work they keep putting into this show!

but they have jobs and life’s to live so its slow going and the same is to be said for me as well, but i’ve seen a few ppl offer to help here and there.

so if you want to be a Translator and help carry some of this work load we will welcome you with open arms.lol

you can also help time and hard sub if you like i got no problem sharing my part nether.lol

as long as we get them EP’s out there;)

but please think it over first before you email me, it’s hard work and you will have to go over the text alot until its ready to be timed by me, and i hate it when someone offers to help and i never hear from them again:(

we’ve had alot of ppl do that too, say they’ll Translate and never hear from them again.

you can Translate from the canto,mand or viet just as long as we get english.lol

Hey everyone, missjade here ^^

Just a small update. I’ve fixed the Project page a bit. Now you can see all the links we posted onto one page for easier viewing. It’ll be updated along the way once we release another episode.

Episode 3 is progressing nicely. Flick, one of our translators, is so dedicated she even decided to translate while she’s on her holidays. ^^ Must thank her later, hehe.

And to everyone who has supported us, Thank you very much. Your comments are appreciated as it motivates us even more. If you have any suggestions please feel free to tell us too. We welcome them. ^^

well i’ve been sick with the flu so haven’t felt like doing anything.

but i’m alot better now so i retimed the Vietnamese EP1 and uploaded it.

i only shifted the times and edited the parts that were off really bad so its not 100% to the Vietnamese

my converter program is crazy sometimes i get file 600MB other littler file size with the same setings.lol

we had alot of set backs alot were my fault so sorry, but its out enjoy get some popcorn and sit back or burn to dvd then have fun.

Introducing two new staff!

Thanks for everyone’s support so far! We haven’t been too dormant (well, I have…sorry!) since the last ‘preview’ release of Episode 01, and I am happy to say some great progress has been towards the final release of Episode 01!

This is primarily due to new staff who have joined the SWK Fansub team, and I would like to take the opportunity to introduce the two new translators:

missJade and Yuen!

missJade has done the majority of the translation work so far, from the Vietnamese dubs of JTTW96, and despite this being the first fansub project she has undertaken, she has produced some of the best work I’ve really ever seen. One of the most amazing things is that this was all done in a very short space of time!

Yuen is our newest staff member, and is no stranger to JTTW (I’m talking about the *original* story here) She runs a website dedicated to the story as well as books, film and TV adaptations, and all sorts of other media relating to Journey to the West, which fans will most likely have bookmarked already (since it really is *the* ultimate resource) and has been endlessly helpful with translation and editing work.

Last but not least, we would also like to thank Darkplace for helping us out with the translation work of Episode 01. Unfortunately he won’t be able to continue translation work for the moment (due to an injury) but we would still like to wish him a speedy recovery! ^^

And thus you have the blurb about our new staff, so hope you can join us in giving them a huge welcome to our team!
